Anastasia is a normal girl. That is, until one day. Her parents are killed in a vacuum cleaner accident. Great-Aunties Prim and Prude adopt her, and take her to St. Agony’s Asylum of the Criminally Insane. There, she is forced to work chores and eat Mystery Lumps and is locked in her room at night. Until she meets two mysterious brothers…
This book is a really good read. The narration is very good and very quirky. It’s a funny book and it’s very good if you like fantasy (which I do). There are also many action-packed moments and the characters are great. This book is very, very good if you like fantastical action, and I definitely think you should read this book. I give it a 5 out of 5.
Dashiell Gibson lives on the moon. Despite how amazing it sounds, it’s not. Dashiell is very bored on the moon, away from his friends in Hawaii. Until, one day a resident on the moon turns up dead. Almost everyone thinks that it was an accident, but Dashiell thinks it was a murder. If so, which of the few people on Moon Base Alpha murdered him? And why?
Space Case is a great book by Stuart Gibbs. It has plenty of action, funny dialogue and plenty of personalities in the characters. The storyline is well thought-out and overall, it’s just a great book! I loved it, and I want to give it a 5/5. The author did a great job while writing this book.
Calder Pillay and his 2 friends, Tommy and Petra, have found themselves in a type of game. The Calder Game, to be exact. One day, Calder and his father have to go to England for a business trip. A few days later, an Alexander Calder statue disappears. The same day, Calder disappears as well. It’s up to his friends to try and find them, and that’s their goal…
The Calder Game is a great book. It’s very interesting and a real page-turner. If you love mysteries, well, this is a good book for you. There are a lot of action moments, and the author worked hard to make this a very detailed story. The illustrations are very well done too; even though they are there to show you what everything looks like, they are still well done and you can tell that the illustrator put a lot of time into it. I enjoyed every part of this book and would like to give it a 5/5.
Bilbo Baggins and 13 other dwarves are in for the adventures of their lives. Along their journey they will meet hostile creatures, and safe creatures such as elves, goblins, and Wargs! Will they defeat the dragon Smaug, or fail and die on their journey there, not taking the stolen treasure?
This book is highly adventurous and very descriptive and detailed. I would have to say that this book is for young adults to adults because it is kind of slow because of all the description. But it also has a lot of action and fighting moments that I personally loved. My favorite was at the end when there was war between the goblins and the elves, dwarves, and men.
This book is towards the 5/5 range, but it is kind of slow, as I mentioned earlier, so I’ll give it a 4/5. This is a great book for adventure-type book lovers as there is so much adventure to be awaited in this book.
Rick Riordan’s fourth installment to the Heroes of Olympus is here! In this book, Percy and Annabeth are in Tartarus, while the rest of the gang is up searching the Mediterranean Sea, to find the House of Hades and stop Gaea from destroying their world.
This is a great mythology/fantasy book for kids to teens to young adults. I would suggest this to anyone who liked the other books in the Heroes of Olympus stories or the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. It’s action packed, it sometimes gets a little scary, and it can get pretty funny, too. My favorite part is when Percy and Annabeth are fighting Tartarus himself, and Jason and the others are fighting tons of monsters in the House of Hades.
This book definitely leans towards the 5/5 range, as it has a great use of wordplay, a perfect amount of action, and I would say that you have to read this book. And if you didn’t, read the other books first.
The Neddiad is a book about a boy named Neddie and the friends he meets along the way. Neddie is going to L.A. because he is moving. He meets a shaman who gives him a mysterious turtle. As the train leaves him, he goes to a hotel for the night. While he’s there, he meets a ghost, and two new friends, an actor and an actor’s son.
A man tries to rob Neddie of the mysterious turtle, but his friend does a trick causing the man to leave the tour plane that they are on with a jellybean. Once they get back to Neddie’s parents, his mom meets some parents who have a daughter. Then, they meet and become friends.
Both of Neddie’s friends go to school in L.A. Neddie joins one of the schools, and he meets all the kids there. Once the time has come, a weird thing happens. A mammoth has been found and taken to the circus. Neddie then has to save the world from becoming the stone age and the world collapsing in chaos.
This book had some surprising twists. The thing that made this story really fun was that they had a time limit to save the world.
4/5. This book is very well suited for teenagers to young adults. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy books. This book isn’t for everyone. It has ghosts and magic in it.

The Alchemyst is a book written by Michael Scott about a pair of twins, a brother and a sister, who go on an adventure with two great legendary figures: Scathach and Nicholas Flamel. As they try to get the sacred book, the Codex, back from the evil hands of Dr. John Dee, Flamel’s old apprentice, danger awaits them at every turn.
This book is filled with adventure. The part when there is a war at Hekate’s Shadowrealm is exciting with lots of magic and danger.
This book is good for people who like adventure books and the Percy Jackson Series. I would definitely read the other books in this series.
I give this book a 4/5 because even though I liked it, this book is not for everyone. It may be frightening at some times, as there is violence and magic.
